Take a Bite of this Purple Rock

For you serious diamond investors and knowledge seekers out there. We bring you the up close look at one of the most rare color designations ever seen at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Fancy Purple. Not a “variation” of purple, purple-pink, purple-ISH,  but straight up Fancy Purple.

Being “not the owner” (which is Scarselli Diamonds), I’d  like to call this diamond the Purple Reign, because a new contender is unlikely to come along any time soon. Purple diamonds are indeed that rare. However we’d be remiss to not discuss the fact that this diamond was a recent featured highlight at the 57th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennial, 2017. Feted by all, it appeared in this specially designed titanium mounting by the artist known as Paola Brussino.

Let’s take a look at this beautiful VIDEO creation for the unveiling event featuring Bruno Scarselli and Paola Brussino. (Click HERE for Video)

Investment details on this diamond:  1.27 carat Fancy Purple Oval shape diamond VS2 as graded by GIA.   Purple diamonds are extremely rare and even more rare in this high clarity. Even more rare is a purple diamond of this quality without attendant fluorescence.  The price is in the seven digits, mounting included.   Serious inquiries ColoredDiamonds@Scarselli.com.
